Sheriff Roy Martin regrets to announce that an inmate that was currently in custody for felony related offenses was found deceased in the jail around 11PM on 09/20.  The inmate, identified as 31 year old Jerod Lee Miller of Harrison, was discovered by the jail staff as being unresponsive.  The jail staff attempted life saving measures to the inmate, but he was ultimately pronounced deceased.  The Arkansas State Police was assigned to investigate the in-custody death.  It was determined that no foul play is suspected and that Miller was alone within the cell at the time of the death.  The body will be submitted to the Arkansas Medical Examiner's office for the official findings as to cause of death.
