Three Arrested for Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm and Fleeing

 

 

Chief Deputy Roy Martin reports that on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at approximately 04:29 p.m. the Boone County Sheriff's received a report of what was first believed to be very loud fireworks being shot from a vehicle as it passed by a residence on Estes Road in the Batavia area of Boone County.

 

The complainant, reported being in his yard at the time with his children putting up Christmas lights when the loud bangs occurred. The complainant then followed the suspect vehicle down Estes Road for some distance and provided information to law enforcement.  The suspect vehicle was met by an Arkansas State Trooper as it turned onto Arkansas State Highway 62/65 north of Harrison. After a short pursuit the vehicle stopped and three persons, which included one male juvenile, one male adult and one adult female were taken into custody.  A firearm and ammunition were discovered in the suspect vehicle along with a quantity of illegal drugs.  The firearm was suspected as being utilized in the act.  During the follow-up investigation it was discovered that at least two rounds were fired from a large caliber weapon as they passed by the complainant's residence. No persons or structures were reported being struck by the rounds.

 

All three persons found in the suspect vehicle were charged with a number of felony related weapons and drugs offenses.  The two adults were identified as Anthony Ray McClellan, 19 years of age of Berryville, Arkansas remains in custody with a $100,000.00 bond and Chloe Elizabeth Wilson, 19 years of age of Berryville, Arkansas is also being held on a $25,000.00 bond.  The juvenile that was involved in this case has been turned over to juvenile authorities.
