Date: 09/22/2021

On September 22, 2021, Chief Deputy Roy Martin reports Boone County 911 Center received a call from a residence on Wagner Loop stating her son waved a gun in her husband's face and he is out of control.

Upon deputy's arrival, forty-eight year old Tavis Villines barricaded himself in his room and was armed with firearms.  Harrison Police Department Special Operation Team was dispatched and negotiations began.  After 2 ½ hours of negotiations Villines surrendered to law enforcement peacefully.

Villines is currently being held at the Boone County Sheriff's Office on charges of Aggravated Assault on a Household Member.

Chief Roy Martin stated "I am glad we have a working relationship with the local law enforcement agencies.  The Sheriff's Office has deputies assigned to the Harrison Police Department Special Operation Team which was utilized in this incident.  These Deputies and Officers are highly trained to deal with incidents like this and I am proud to report because of their training this incident ended peacefully."
