Sheriff Mike Moore reports an update involving the two stabbing victims on Edwin Mac Road in Boone County that occurred during the early morning hours on Friday February 7th.  Officers that arrived on scene reported that 16 year old, Cloud Knight suffered from a single stab wound and his mother Susan Knight had been stabbed multiple times.  Boone County Deputies and EMT's on scene attempted lifesaving care for the 16 year old boy, who was later pronounced deceased.  The mother was transported to Cox Medical Center in Springfield where she was listed in critical condition.  At this time the mother is still receiving treatment and in stable condition.  The person responsible for the stabbing was identified as the mother's 14 year old son, who is currently in custody at the Juvenile Detention center in Bentonville and will be facing charges of Murder in the 1st Degree and Attempted Murder.  The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
