Body Identified

On February 4, 2019 the Boone County Sheriff’s Department was notified of possible human remains being located off of McDonald Road along the bank of Crooked Creek approximately 20 miles from Lake Harrison. A search of the area led to the discovery of a body in a pile of debris along the south east bank of Crooked Creek. The body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime lab and on February 5, 2019 the Sheriff’s Department was notified the body had been positively identified as being John Villines, who has been missing since late November of 2018. A search of the area will continue over the next several days for any signs of John’s missing wife Amy Villines. The Sheriff's Department would also like to thank the community for their help in the search efforts. If anyone would like to continue to volunteer in the search please contact Boone County Office of Emergency Management at 870-741-2950.
