In 2018 the Boone County Sheriff’s Department became a member of the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force better known as ICAC. In March of 2018 the sheriff’s department received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children better known as NECMEC pertaining to possible child pornography being downloaded by an individual in Boone County. Investigators with the sheriff’s department began an investigation that led to 45 year old Jon Clayton English of Harrison being identified as the individual who downloaded the sexual explicit material. Investigators discovered English downloaded multiple images and videos from the internet between March and September of 2018. On November 7, 2018 the sheriff’s department executed a search warrant on English’s residence located in the 1300 block of Capps Road. English was taken into custody without incident and charged with computer child pornography, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. English is currently being held at the Boone County Jail on a $100,000.00 bond. English is facing additional charges pending further investigation.
