Bergman School Breaking & Entering Suspect Arrested

On January 1, 2018, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department was contacted in regards to the Bergman School being broken into the weekend of December 29th through December 31st of 2017. An investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department lead to evidence being discovered at the crime scene that lead to 56 year old James Dean Christen of Bergman, Arkansas being identified as the person who broke into the Bergman School. On January 2, 2018, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department located James at his residence on Zinc Road and took him into custody without incident. During the course of the investigation James admitted to breaking into the Bergman School and attempting to steal multiple tools and electronic equipment. James was arrested and charged with two counts of Breaking or Entering and two counts of criminal mischief 1st Degree. James is currently being held at the Boone County Jail on a parole violation warrant and a $5,000.00 bond.
