The Boone County Sheriffs Office received information from LeadsonLabs and concerned citizens, Friday, January 15^th, 2010, in reference to possible lab activity at a residence in Valley Springs.  Officers with the Boone County Sheriffs Office and the 14^th Judicial District Drug Task Force located a working Meth Lab in progress at the residence in a small out building.  Officers arrested Michael Shipley, DOB: 5/14/1987, James Stacey, DOB: 05/17/1988, and Michael Eddings,  DOB: 04/23/1984, who have all been charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine.  All three males were in the out building with the working lab when officers arrived.

Officers then executed a Search Warrant on the residence and located numerous other meth lab items, firearms, and drug paraphernalia inside the residence and out building.  Bond for the male subjects had not yet been set as of Friday night and all are currently being held at the Boone County Jail.    

LeadsonLabs is the organization that tracks purchases of cold medications containing ephedrine. Stores and pharmacies who sell these types of medications are required by law to report sales and these reports are available to law enforcement to monitor those purchases.
