The Boone County Sheriffs Office has arrested Amanda Smith, W/F, DOB: 12/23/1980, for furnishing prohibited articles in a correctional facility and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana.  Boone County Jail Administrator Jason Day stated that another agency had originally arrested Smith on an outstanding warrant and brought her to the jail for incarceration.  Day said as intake officers conducted a search of Smith, they located a ¼ ounce of marijuana and two (2) empty syringes used for the injection of methamphetamine in her clothing.  Smith’s bond was set at $25,000.00 and she remained in custody as of Wednesday morning
