On Tuesday, February 15th, 2011, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, received an anonymous call from a concerned citizen of a strong chemical odor coming from one of the apartments at the Depot Motel in Bellefonte.
The caller told Investigators that Nathan Richardson, 27 years old of Harrison, was staying at the apartment along with his wife, Shayne Enos, 23 years old of Jasper. Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Harrison Police Department, made contact with Officer’s of the Arkansas State Probation and Parole office knowing Richardson and Enos were on probation for prior crimes. Probation and Parole Officers along with Narcotics Investigators arrived at the scene to locate Richardson for not reporting to his Parole Officer. As Investigator’s arrived, Enos and Richardson came driving up to the residence in their vehicle.
Probation and Parole immediately took Richardson into custody, while Narcotics Investigators conducted a search of the vehicle. Components relating to the manufacture of meth were located inside the vehicle as well as in room number nine of the motel. Both Richardson and Enos were charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine and Enos was additionally charged with Possession of a Schedule III Narcotic. Richardson and Enos were both given a bond of $20,000.00 and remained in custody at the Boone County Jail.
