Sheriff Danny Hickman reports that the Boone County Sheriffs Office Narcotics Division and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a Search Warrant at a residence located at 56 Alta Vista Drive, on Friday, April 9th, 2010. The Search Warrant stemmed from a traffic stop made by Dep. Ryan Watson with the Boone County Sheriffs Office. Dep. Watson had located approximately 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle and numerous other items of drug paraphernalia. The individuals in the vehicle were, 33 year old Joseph Elder of Harrison and 29 year old Amanda Price also of Harrison.
During further investigation of the case, Investigator received information there were more narcotics located at the residence. Officers with the Boone County Sheriffs Office and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed the search warrant on a camper trailer owned by Elder, parked behind the residence. Investigator’s located more methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia at the residence. Elder and Price were both charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver – Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Elder and Price had bonds set at $25,000.00 cash or professional each and had bonded out of the Boone County Jail late Friday night.
